IDF chief: Missiles cannot be prevented, but damage can be minimized

None

IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that "an iron dome cannot be built above the state, and it would be an illusion to think that missiles will not fall here in the future".

"It is our job to minimize the damage that can be caused by a prolonged period of alert, which will allow us to clear out areas in which we suspect missiles may fall. This is what was done in the drill with the Americans." (Attila Somfalvi)
