EU: Premature to support unilateral Palestinian move

The European Union presidency said the Palestinians' request to unilaterally declare statehood is "premature".
"I don't think we are at that point. I wish we could recognize a Palestinian state," said Carl Bildt, foreign minister of Sweden, which currently holds the rotating presidency. (AFP)
