Foreign Ministry names new ambassador to Cairo

The Foreign Ministry has named Yitzhak Levanon as Israel's new ambassador to Egypt. Levanon served in the past as Israel's ambassador to the United Nations institutions in Geneva, and was a leading figure in the campaign for having Magen David Adom join the Red Cross in 2005. (Attila Somfalvi)
