The State Prosecutor's Office on Sunday filed a NIS 22,332 (about $5,900) lawsuit against three settlers over expenses incurred by police and army forces during their evacuation from a West Bank outpost near Kedumim in May.
According to the statement of claim, filed with the Kfar Saba Magistrates' Court, the three settlers set up the outpost in a closed military zone in violation of an IDF order.
Following the incident, the settlers filed a lawsuit demanding that 15,000 shekels (about $4,000) worth of equipment they claim was seized during the evacuation be returned to them.
The State said the settlers' "falsified" lawsuit would result in additional legal expenses.
About a month ago the State filed two lawsuits demanding reimbursement for costs incurred during the razing and evacuation of structures in the Arab-Israeli town of Umm al-Fahm and in the Givat Lehava outpost in the West Bank.
