4 Kfir Brigade who abused Palestinians demoted, fined

The Military Court in Jaffa demoted in rank four soldiers from the Kfir Brigade who were convicted of abusing 13 Palestinian detainees three years ago. An NIS 1,800 (about $470) fine was imposed on the four soldiers.
The judges ruled that their actions were outrageous and tainted with scorn and degradation. However, the judges took into consideration the amount of time that has passed since the incident and that the soldiers served in combat. (Hanan Greenberg)
