Court extends remand of IDF chief's security guard accused of rape

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended by four days the remand of Captain A., IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi's security guard, who is suspected of attempted rape, attempted sodomy and an attack on a 22-year-old woman at the Tel Aviv Port about a week ago.
The suspect's lawyers asked the police to hold additional examinations and question other witnesses in order to determine whether there is sufficient evidence for an indictment. (Avi Cohen)
