Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that "if the Zionist regime starts another war against the people of Gaza it will suffer an even harsher defeat and be humiliated far more than before".
Khamenei spoke at a meeting he held with Hamas' politburo chief, Khaled Mashaal, in Tehran. He added that Iran saw support of the Palestinians as a "religious duty". (Dudi Cohen)
