Israel to allow Gaza residents into Israel for Christmas
Israel will allow hundreds of Christian Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip into its territory and Bethlehem for Christmas.
Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov said that the gesture sharpens the "inhumane cruelty" of the Hamas regime in Gaza that does not allow the Red Cross access to captured soldier Gilad Shalit. "I expect Hamas to make a gesture to promote the release of Shalit in the spirit of the central holiday of the Christian world," he said. (Roni Sofer)
