Minister Shalom: Theft of sign from Auschwitz is very concerning
Vice Premier Silvan Shalom expressed his concern over the theft of the infamous sign "Arbeit Macht Frei" hung at the entrance to the Nazi death camp, Auschwitz.
"The despicable act is another proof of the growing violence and hatred. The significance of the place and the sign is deep. Stealing it is akin to desecration of a holy site," added Shalom. (Roni Sofer)
