Iran denies it was behind kidnap of Brits

Iran has denied allegations by UK newspaper The Guardian that it was behind the kidnapping in Baghdad of five British citizens more than two years ago.
A spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry said on Iranian national television Thursday that the allegations were completely unfounded, and that the report is due to British anger over Iranian condemnation of foreign intervention in Iran's internal affairs. (AFP)
