Ashkelon to court: Defense Ministry not fortifying education institutions

The Ashkelon Municipality petitioned the High Court against the Defense Ministry for the lack of security fortifications for educational institutions in the city.
The municipality noted that the ministry promised in the past that budget would be allocated to fortify the learning institutions, but never followed through. They recently sent a letter to Defense Minister Ehud Barak to fulfill his commitment. Because no reply was received, the municipality petitioned the High Court. (Shmulik Hadad)
