Former Cellcom CEO and president to serve as pharmaceutical company's senior VP of Global Branded Products. Chaim Hurvitz to be appointed Director. Moshe Manor designated as president of Teva’s new Asia division

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has announced new appointments in the company management after having advertised that the company would undergo organization development, Calcalist reported Tuesday.

Yitzhak Peterburg will join the Teva management team as senior VP of Global Branded Products. Peterburg has been a member of the Teva Board of Directors since 2009 until his current appointment.

Additionally, in the upcoming meeting of the Board of Directors scheduled for the beginning of next week, the board will discuss Chaim Hurvitz’s appointment as director.

Peterburg served as president and CEO of Cellcom. Prior to that, he was director-general at Clalit Health Services (1997-2002) and director of Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba (1995-1997).

Peterburg is an MD from Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, a pediatric specialist and an expert in health administration.

Moshe Manor, who until now served as Group VP of Global Branded Products, has been appointed head of the new Asia division.

Teva President and CEO Shlomo Yanai said Tuesday, “I am pleased that Yitzhak Peterburg is joining the company’s management. I have no doubt that his broad professional and managerial experience will contribute largely to the success and growth of Teva.

"The new appointments are part of a series of steps that Teva is taking, both in Israel and globally, to support the company’s expansion plans over the next few years.”
