State asks to extend prisoner's solitary confinement
None
The State asked to extend the solitary confinement of a security prisoner serving a life sentence for murdering a Jewish man in order to clear his name as a former collaborator with Israeli authorities.
In a petition to the court, the State claimed that the prisoner cannot be kept with other prisoners in the security ward because there was of a fear for his life. The State also claimed that he cannot be put in a regular ward because he might harm the prison staff. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
