Syria: Peace drawing away, chances of war increasing
Syrian President Bashar Assad said Sunday that "True peace in the region is becoming more distant and chances for war and conflict are increasing."
In a letter issued by the Syrian military journal Assad noted that "whoever thinks that Syria will compromise its firm principles is wrong. Syria knows that the cost of resistance, high as it may be, will still be lower than the cost of surrender." (Roee Nahmias)
