H&M opening store in Kfar Saba

Swedish fashion chain's fourth Israeli branch to offer for first time collection of professional women's sportswear. Meanwhile, Haifa store opens men's clothing department

H&M franchiser in Israel, Match Retail, will be opening the Swedish fashion chain's fourth store in Israel this Thursday at the G Mall in Kfar Saba.

The new store will measure 1,300 square meters (14,000 square feet) in size and stretch over two floors. It will offer clothing items for women, youth, children and babies. In addition, it will be the first store in Israel to offer professional sportswear in the women's department.

The store will display the first H&M collection for fall/winter 2010, including silk and tweed clothes, suits and jeans, classic jerseys, leather accessories, hats and scarves.

The first 100 customers to enter the Kfar Saba store will receive a gift card which they will be able to start using at the store that very same day.

The chain already has three stores in Israel – at Tel Aviv's Azrieli Mall, at Jerusalem's Malcha Mall, and at the Grand Canyon in Haifa. Three additional stores will open in the coming year in Petah Tikva, Netanya and Rehovot. On Wednesday, H&M opened its men's clothing department in the Haifa store.

"The concept of fashion and quality for the best prices is highly successful, and we are thrilled to be able to make it accessible in other cities as well," the franchiser said in a statement.
