Minister Michael Eitan (Likud), who voted against the appointment of Yoav Galant as the next chief of staff, said the major general "acted like a member of the mafia over a long period of time and ignored the law."
The Minister said a report drafted by the deputy attorney general indicated that Galant had committed offenses in an affair involving the take over of public lands. "His conduct raises questions as to how he will perform in the future," said Eitan. (Attila Somfalvi)
