Saudi urges world to force Israel to halt settlements
The Saudi government had declared following its weekly cabinet meeting that Israel's settlement construction undermines the renewal of direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians, and called for a building freeze for the sake of the future of the negotiations.
In an official statement, the Saudi government called on the international community to "force Israel to halt construction, which is aimed at changing the reality on the ground." (AFP)
