German source: We missed real opportunity to catch bin Laden

Former German foreign intelligence chief August Hanning says Western security forces "missed a real opportunity" to capture al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden when he was hiding at Tora Bora in Afghanistan.
Hanning told CNN that after bin Laden escaped from Tora Bora the hunt for him became much harder. He estimated that the al-Qaeda leader is now hiding in tribal areas in the region near Peshawar, between Pakistan and Afghanistan." (Ynet)
