El Al to offer 9 new Russia destinations

Israeli airline extends its code share agreement with Russia's Siberia Airlines

Israeli airline El Al and Russia's Siberia Airlines have signed a code share expansion agreement, offering Israeli passengers flights to nine selected destinations in Russia, including Kazan, Rostov, Perm Krai, Omsk, Sochi, Chelyabinsk and Samara.

According to El Al CEO Elyezer Shkedy, expanding the cooperation with the Russian airline will help Israeli passengers fly to selected destinations in Russia in convenient hours and with maximal flexibility.

Siberia Airlines is a privately-owned airline and a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The company has been active since 1992, has 35 Boeing and Airbus planes and 26 orders. Its fleet is the youngest among all Russian airlines, with an average age of eight years.

Siberia offers flights to 87 destinations across the world, and has recently joined the Oneworld alliance, whose members include British Airways, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Malév, Qantas and Royal Jordanian.
