'0xOmar' demands Israeli apology

Saudi hacker says 'Nightmare' group capable of targeting any Israeli website, demands deputy FM retract 'death threat.' Ayalon: We won't be intimidated, threatened or silenced

The Saudi hacker known as "0xOmar" vowed Monday that the cyber attacks on Israel will only grow stronger.

"0xOmar" told Ynet via email that he has teemed up with "Nightmare," a group of pro-Palestinian hackers that have claimed responsibility for shutting down the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and El Al's websites earlier Monday.

The group, he said, also tampered with Bank Massad's website. "A lot of Arab hackers decided to join us and we are managing a private channel together," he said.

He explained that the websites were chosen because of their great number of users, adding that the group intends to target other strategic Israeli websites.

"I want to hurt/harm Israel in any way possible. I can harm them in Cyber world so I would do anything for this world. I'll let Israeli authorities cry and suffer," (sic) he said.

Meanwhile, the banking system is considering blocking online access for overseas users over the recent series of cyber attacks on financial websites. First International Bank of Israel (Fibi) and Israel's Discount Bank have already applied the limitation as a precautionary measure.

"No one in this world going to arrest me. It's impossible to find me and I'll keep attacking Israel. Just stay and watch," he promised.

"0xOmar" also addressed Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon's statement that his actions were an act of terror, saying that "Danny Ayalon should ask for apologize from me for threatening me to death and Israeli authorities should ask for apologize from Gaza people for genocide, they should ask for apologize for Sabra and Shatila massacre. Then we may reduce power of attacks," (sic).

Ayalon said in response: "No one will make me stop my diplomatic and PR activities in the various arenas, especially cyberspace.

"Cyberspace is the new battleground and there too we will not be defeated. We will not be intimidated, threatened or silenced," he said.

Ayalon has called on MK Robert Ilatov (Yisrael Beiteinu), who chairs the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Sub-Committee and asked him to convene an emergency session on Israel's need of an elite cyber unit.

The deputy FM added that he will also pursue adopting the US law which deems cyber attacks as acts of terror.
