The Environmental Protection Ministry has granted NIS 250 million (about $70 million) to private entrepreneurs and local authorities to promote the construction of recycling centers, Ynet learned. According to a ministry statement, the funds are meant to facilitate the construction of 20 organic waste treatment centers across Israel. The Environmental Protection Ministry will fund 40% of the endeavor and the remaining 60% will be funded by private entrepreneurs and local authorities.
