The Rhino protection initiative "Forever Wild" has created a unique online campaign meant to shake people out of indifference to the fate of wild animals. The "YouTube Interventions" initiative aims to debunk the common statement by many who say that they "have no time for serious stuff," yet they spend hours on silly online distractions. With a minimal budget, Forever Wild decided to incorporate their message in YouTube clips. Over a period of two weeks, the organization downloaded over 60 high-traffic YouTube videos and then uploaded them again with a message of its own. The revaped videos forced the viewers to confront the truth about the way they actually spend their time online. The campaign urges viewers to sign a petition which will call on governments to act quickly and protect the animal in danger of extinction. With the help YouTube, the organization has been able to garner over 300,000 views and 11,000 "Likes" on Facebook. Follow Ynetnews on Facebook and Twitter .
