Traffix sold for $135M, multiplies seed investment x11

Company being acquired by US software company F5 just three months after raising $7 million from Bessemer Venture Partners

Israel's Traffix is being sold for $135 million to US software developer F5, Calcalist learned. Traffix, a provider of G4 software and communications and traffic administration services for cellular providers, has invested only $12 million since its inception.

 

Traffix is performing its exit within a relatively short period after holding a $7 million financing round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, leaving Traffix with additional funds.

 

Aside from Benny Schneider and Bessemer (25%) other investors include founders of 888 online gambling group the Shaked brothers (15%) and businessman Yuval Cohen's Stageone (30%).

 

Traffix develops open-code products that allow external developers to create complementary applications. Some 25 companies around the world have adopted Traffix's solutions, among them France Telecom and Russian Vempelcom. Recently, the company announced that "a top tier cellular provider in the US" has installed its products.

 

F5 was represented by attorney Janet-Levi Pahima from Herzog, Fox & Neeman. Traffix was represented by attorney Daniel Marcus from Amit, Pollak, Matalon & Co.
