Abbas: We're ready to resume direct talks with Israel
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed on Wednesday his willingness to return to the negotiating table with Israel. At a press conference Abbas said that the Palestinian UN bid does not replace the need for negotiation.
"We need to resume negotiations in order to resolve the core issues. Therefore, we are ready to pursue direct talks upon returning from the UN," said Abbas. (Elior Levy)
