Comverse sacks 30 employees

Telecom billing solutions provider fires 2% of its workforce in Israel

Telecom billing solutions provider Comverse is dismissing 30 employees from its Israeli office – about 2% of its workforce in Israel.

The company has undergone several changes over the past year, during which it split from its parent company, Comverse Technology, and began trading on NASDAQ as an independent public company.

Comverse Technology has been acquired by Israeli company Verint.

Comverse said in response, "In September, Comverse announced its plan to reduce the company's general and administrative expenses. The manpower downsizing focuses on this effort.

"We will continue to invest in all areas of activity related to R&D, product development and customer service."
