The al-Arabiyeh network released a video on Thursday allegedly showing Syrian troops torturing men who they claim transferred arms to the rebels.
In the video Alawi officers, blindfolded and clad only with underwear, are seen sitting in barrels while Assad's men are beating and cursing them.
It is unclear when and where the video was taken.
The footage, leaked by opposition elements, is not the first video in which Assad's troops are seen torturing captives, both rebels and citizens, in the war-torn country.
Conversely, Syrian media outlets affiliated with the regime have also shown videos of rebels doing the same.
Meanwhile, fierce battles between rebels and loyalists are ongoing. On Thursday, rebels have occupied a military airport in Homs'
suburbs – where combat between rebels and pro-Assad Hezbollah
auxiliaries was recently reported.
Rebels stated they have apprehended large amounts of ammunition as well as two MiG
jets, two tanks and two artillery cannons.
In addition, Hezbollah's al-Manar news network reported an American-made surveillance balloon was shot down in Idlib
in northern Syria.
According to estimations by opposition elements, on Thursday at least 85 were killed in the clashes between the opposing forces across Syria,
including five women and eight children.
