Brad Pitt
and Angelina Jolie
have taken up training in an Israeli self-defense and fighting system known as Krav Maga, the Mail Online reports.
According to the report, the newlywed Hollywood power couple have been practicing the Israeli martial art as part of the preparations for their new film "By The Sea," which is being shot in Malta.
Pitt, 50, reportedly adopted the discipline only recently, and the couple now practice several days a week. Jolie, 39, started learning self-defence to train for her "Tomb Raider" role in 2001.
"Angelina previously learnt Krav Maga when she was doing 'Tomb Raider' and loved it," a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper.
According to the report, Pitt is believed to have lost more than 10 pounds (about 4.5 kilograms) after only three weeks of participating in the intense military-style exercise classes and is letting his kids join in the fun.
"The whole family are learning the moves," the source said. "Even the little ones are doing modified kids' moves but Brad has been doing it for 45 minutes a day and has dramatically lost weight and beefed up his muscles for the film."
Pitt and Jolie, who tied the knot last month in a secret wedding in France after nine years and six children together, are spending their honeymoon filming their upcoming movie, which was written and is being directed by Jolie, who also stars in it alongside her husband.
This is the couple's second film together. The first time they starred together on screen was in 2005 action film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," where they fell in love, which led Pitt to end his marriage to actress Jennifer Aniston.
