Following a few hours of clear skies on Tuesday, winter has returned to Israel.
The forecast predicted thunderstorms and the possibility of flooding. The wintry conditions were expected to continue through Wednesday into Thursday.
Officials in the Northern District announced that they had prepared for various rescue missions, with an emphasis on water-related accidents and incidents of flooding. The fire department warned residents to exercise caution when heating their homes.
The electric company was also preparing for days of strong winds and rain. They urged people to be safe and aware.
The storm could lead to downed power lines as well as falling trees, branches, and electric poles.
The power company also requested that residents remove objects from roofs and balconies that could fly into electric poles.
