2 dead, 5 injured in Jordan Valley car accident
Israeli and Palestinian die in collision between commercial vehicles; five injured. Traffic closed in both directions.
A Palestinian and an Israeli were killed Sunday morning in a head-on collision between two commercial vehicles on Highwy 90, near the settlement of Argaman in the Jordan Valley.
Five additional people were injured and evacuated via helicopter. The road was closed to traffic in both directions. Ambulances and police cars were called to the scene.
MDA were informed of the accident at 6:36 AM. MDA paramedics, assisted by IDF medical staff, treated the victims, all in their 30s, on the scene.
Two were fatally wounded and later declared dead.
Three others were critically wounded and required artificial respiration. Another two individuals suffered moderate-to-severe injuries.
