German pop singer, best known for hit singles 'Maria Magdalena' and 'In the Heat of the Night,' will give one show on March 30 as part of 1980s party.

German pop singer, who had a string of European hit singles in the 1980s and early 1990s, will perform in Israel on March 20 as part of DJs Stav Ben Yakar and Tal Aviv's flashback party line.

Pre-sale tickets will cost NIS 130 (about $34). Sandra previously performed in Israel 2009.

Sandra Ann Lauer, 53, was born in Germany. She became famous in the early 1980s as the lead singer of all-female disco trio Arabesque, which was not very successful outside Germany but produced a number of disco hits such as "Midnight Dancer" and "Friday Night."

Her solo career was very successful and she was considered one of the iconic figures of the 1980s pop culture. Her hit singles included "(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena," "In the Heat of the Night" and "Heaven Can Wait."

Sandra was married to Romanian-German Michael Cretu, one of the creators of successful new age musical project Enigma, and provided vocals to the project's album releases.

Sandra's performance in Israel will be followed by a 1980s party.
