Rita receiving her award
10 years of hope

A decade of 'Giving Hope'

In honor of its 10-year anniversary, volunteers and supporters gather to pay tribute to the Notnim Tikva foundation, which aids the families of sick children hospitalized in Israel.

The NGO "Notnim Tikva" (Giving Hope) has marked a decade of action with a gala for its donors, supporters and volunteers. The organization has assisted hospitalized children and their families in paying for treatments that are not included in their medical benefits for the last 10 years, as well as providing the children and their families with entertainments and excursions.

‘Giving Hope’ was established in 2004 by Shmuel Moshe, and it functions in conjunction with several bodies including medical professionals, women performing national service, and a vast network of volunteers - and acts as a bridging element working alongside the professional medical services administered by the hospital’s medical staff.

The donors, supporters and volunteers honored at the gala provide the donations to help pay for the drugs and treatments, alongside expanding the volunteer network, and hosting "fun days" for the children and their families who are hospitalized at the Edmond and Lily Safra children’s hospital at Tel Hashomer.

The organization was established to better the welfare and quality of life of the children and their family, on both a physical and financial level.

During the gala, the singer Rita received a lifetime achievement award and was greeted by the head of the organization who said: “The ability to give people a reason to smile- is the greatest privilege I could ask for”.
