Fire threatens homes near Jerusalem
16 firefighting crews rushed to the scene next to Kibbutz Ma'ale HaHamisha where pool-goers were evacuated; authorities to investigate possibility of arson.
A fire erupted Saturday afternoon near Kibbutz Ma'ale HaHamisha next to Jerusalem where homes were reported to be under threat and visitors were evacuated from the Kibbutz pool.
Sixteen firefighter teams were fighting the blaze while 4 planes circled ahead trying to douse the flames with fire retardant.

While 10 of the teams were local, 6 were rushed to the scene from central Israel. In light of suspicious circumstances, an investigation will explore the possibility that the fire was caused by arson.
