Telzar 019: Unlimited cell service for NIS 35
Little known mobile service provider seeks entrance into wider Israeli market with cheap new packages as Golan faces possible Cellcom take over.
Despite Cellcom's recent announcement on Thursday that it will consider an attempt to purchase Golan Telecom,
it seems that competition in the industry of mobile providers is far from over.
Telzar 019, a provider that has marketed mainly to Israel's foreign workers, is reaching deeper in its attempts to reach the general public in Israel with a package that includes unlimited calls and texts with 3 gigabytes of data for just NIS 35 per month.

The low price for service is currently only matched by Walla Mobile, Pelephone's subsidiary, where NIS 35 per month for service increases to NIS 89 at the end of one year. Telzar 019 promises that its package will remain at NIS 35 for longer, though the company can eventually raise its price to an unknown amount after properly informing the customer.
HOT Mobile also offers a cheap package, but requires that two people sign up, paying NIS 60 per month together. But this plan also gets more expensive at the end of a year.
Telzar 019 was created in the late 90s but has remained mostly unknown in the general Israeli public. The three brothers who run the company made a name for themselves among foreign workers by providing cheap service abroad through pre-paid services.
Recently, Telzar 019 has released several new plans to engage a wider audience including an internet package acting as internet service and provider for NIS 90 per month at a speed of 100 mega.
Meanwhile, in order to remain competitive, Golan Telecom released a new deal Thursday that allows for two phone lines with unlimited calls and texts and 10 gigabytes of data. The second line costs just NIS 10 per month.
