"Our vision is to make seven billion people feel like they belong anywhere," these are the words of Sofia Gayoso, head of regulations for Airbnb, which debuted its guide to Tel Aviv Tuesday.
The guide presents the renter with a variety of attractions and entertainment options in the neighborhood and vicinity of the rental property.
The statistics are further emphasized by the company's research which suggests that the average renter spends twice as much as the average tourist.
The social networks Tel Aviv travel guide includes a variety of possible activities for tourists visiting central Tel Aviv, as well as the Neve Tzedek, Florentine, and Jaffa neighborhoods.
The guide opens to an image of typical Tel Aviv moment, taken on Rothschild Street; the image features a café, a bike rider, and a gay pride flag, hinting at the city's openness towards the LGBT community – in the heart of the Middle East.
The guide also divides rentals into areas according to the renter's desires, be it a "trendy neighborhood," "nightlife," a "Tourist area," "Café culture," "Shopping," "food," or Bauhaus architecture – which is so intrinsically tied to the White City.
The guide proved to be very comfortable, well designed and easy to use when examined by ynet. Alongside the varied maps and explanations, users will find locals' suggestions and a picture gallery featuring the various attractions.
According to the company, the guide is expected to expose the average tourist to Tel Aviv's less known attractions, which they may prefer.
