Siri to get Hebrew-language capabilities

Apple's assistant software is about to graduate from Hebrew school starting with the iOS 9.3 operating system.

Apple's virtual assistant software Siri is soon to begin speaking Hebrew, US media outlets reported on Tuesday. The new feature is planned as part of the upcoming iOS 9.3 operating system.

Reports that Hebrew would soon join the list of supported languages have increased in recent months, sparked by wanted ads posted by Apple searching for people to record Siri's Hebrew vocabulary.

Apple launched the iOS 9 operating system, which caused more than a few problems for Israeli customers, in September. Some people found that setting the phone's language as Hebrew caused various elements in the interface to move around. The battery level icon switched to the left side, for example, and the placement of app icons would change.

Siri gained the capability to speak Arabic last month.
