Famed Tel Aviv 24-hour-breakfast restaurant to open in Berlin
Benedict will be breaking into the international restaurant scene in June when it opens a new branch in the German capital.
Benedict, the famous Tel Aviv breakfast joint that is open 24 hours a day, is coming to the stylish Charlottenburg quarter of Berlin in June. The new branch is set to open on the ground floor of the Max Brown Hotel, a new boutique hotel.
The ownership of Benedict has already opened numerous other restaurants and bars around Tel Aviv including Vicky Cristina, Bread Story, and Zou Bisou.
Benedict exclusively offers breakfast, serving 20 different dishes daily. The restaurant was founded in 2006 under the slogan, “What one eats for breakfast is more important than when one eats breakfast.” The Berlin branch will be open 24/7, serve hotel guests room service, and operate a boutique bakery.
Yair Kindler, co-owner of Benedict, told Mamon last week: “This will be the first breakfast restaurant in Berlin and we hope that we succeed in attractomg Berliners with a cuisine that was born in the shared eating rooms of the Kibbutz."
Kindler added, “in Israeli food culture, breakfast is a special thing. We are bringing the DNA of the world-famous Israeli breakfast to Berlin with freshness and abundance. We hope that we will stir up a (culinary) revolution.”
