Teenage boy missing in woods

Large search parties near Beit Govrin are searching for 17-year-old Matan Levi from Tel Aviv, who has been missing since Friday afternoon; the police ask for any information the public may have.

Large search parties have been looking since Saturday morning in the Beit Govrin Forest area for Matan Levi, a 17-year-old boy from Tel Aviv who has been missing since Friday afternoon.

 

 

He was taking part in a nature party with some friends, but he was separated from his group.

Taking part in the search are Israel Police officers, Border Police officers, a helicopter from the airborne unit, a cavalry unit from the police, and police volunteers and rescue units.

The police have asked the public for assistance in locating Levi and have described him as 185 cm tall, thin and with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing teal shorts, a white short-sleeve shirt and a backpack.

Anyone who has any information on Levi should contact the police by dialing 100.

 

According to an eyewitness, at some point on Friday afternoon, Levi said that he wasn't feeling feel and that he was going to climb a hill to take some air. Shortly afterwards, he disappeared, and there exists the possibility that he may have fallen into a pit or collapsed due to his condition.
