Police discover 1,600 marijuana plants outside Kiryat Malachi
In a field concealed by a high concrete wall on Moshav Hodayah outside Kiryat Malachi, police found 1,600 marijuana plants; a family grow operation, the mother and oldest son have been arrested.
Detectives from the town of Kiryat Malachi found 1,600 marijuana plants in a field owned by residents of Moshav Hodaya in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police also found 30 grams of heroine.
Police arrested the mother family who owned the field along with her eldest son. An additional son, 16, has been detained, and the father and another suspect are still on the run.

The large field was hidden using bales of straw behind the farm and was surrounded by a concrete wall. It is suspected that the family had grown marijuana in the field for years.
