Another round of arrests hits Israeli underworld
Police detectives raided the homes of suspects in what's being called Affair 1131, arresting them for multiple cases of alleged attempted murder; in one case, an alleged attack caused the intended victim to become a state's witness.
The criminal investigation codenamed Affair 1131 continues to develop: About two months after indictments were filed, leading to the arrest of high-level figures in the Israeli criminal underworld, Israel Police detectives on Tuesday arrested several suspects of severe offenses—among them alleged attempted murders.
The suspects were arrested in their homes. One of the alleged attempted murders led the intended victim to become a state's witness.

Five suspects were officially arrested on Tuesday morning, with six more being brought in for questioning, among them a senior underworld figure from Rishon LeZion, who was supposedly at the forefront of one side in a bloody gang war that occurred in the city.
