Court rejects family's request for details of son's death

More than two years have passed since Netanel Arami was killed when he fell 11 stories at a construction site; the Shin Bet labeled the incident a terror attack; the investigation details remain under gag order.

The courts rejected on Wednesday a request by the family of Netanel Arami, who was killed when he fell 11 stories at a construction site in Petah Tikva in September 2014, to release details of the investigation of Arami's death.

Arami was 26 when he was killed in what the Shin Bet defined as a nationalistically-motivated terror attack.

Arami was the owner of a construction firm that did work related to rappelling from buildings. He was found on the ground by fellow workers, after he failed to arrive and the transport shuttle waiting for them at the end of their workday.

Three people were arrested by the Shin Bet on suspicion of being involved with Arami's death. They were released following prolonged questioning.

Arami is survived by his wife, Muriya, who was three months pregnant at the time, and their three children.

The family claims they still do not know exactly what happened to their loved one, and so they filed their request. "In great sorrow and pain, two years have passed and all remains in the same spot," Muriya Arami said, "They inform us of nothing and the murderers continue to walk free. What's most enraging is that there is a gag order on the investigation, with which the story is being silenced."
