Bake and Booze for Boobies

Grab 'em by the breast cancer awareness

A fundraiser called Bake and Booze for Boobies will be held Friday to help raise awareness for breast cancer; the proceeds will be going to the Lemonade Fund, an Israeli charity which helps women suffering from the disease.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, when organizations around the world hold events to donate money to help fight a scourge which affects one in eight women worldwide.

This October is no different, and this time, even the Israelis are getting in on the action.

For the second year running, the Bake and Booze for Boobies fundraiser will be taking place in Tel Aviv on Friday, October 28 to raise awareness and funds for a local breast cancer charity in Israel.

This year’s proceeds will go to the Herzliya based Emergency Financial Relief for Israeli Women Recently Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, otherwise known as the Lemonade Fund.

The event, hosted by School of Shine, held a similar event last year which saw over 500 people participate, have 15 local bakeries donated fresh baked goods to the cause, and whereby more than 40 volunteers showed up in pink to help fundraise. Bake and Booze for Boobies raised over NIS 6000 for a local Israeli breast cancer charity called onein9.

The event will be held at Beer Garden, located on 2 Reines Street in Tel Aviv, and will last from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
