A spokesperson for the fire department stated that due to the small amount leaked, the open and empty topography and calm climate there are currently no special instructions for the public.

The tanks were driven from a fertilizer factory in Kiryat Ata. The chief of the Northern District Fire and Rescue Services instructed the factory to bring trucks and carry the tanks, under safety supervision, back to the plant.

This comes just days after the court order to empty the Haifa ammonia tank due to the meterial's extremely volatile nature and safety faults in the tank itself.
