Two injured in crane collapse in Ramat Gan

38-years-old man moderately hurt after he was trapped inside the crane when it came crashing down; paramedics who were in the area and saw the crane collapse came rushing to his aid.

A man was moderately injured while another was lightly hurt when a crane collapsed at a construction site on Neve Yehoshua Street in Ramat Gan on Sunday. The collapsed crane also caused damage to a nearby building.

 

 

The 38-years-old crane operator, who is in moderate condition after suffering injuries to his head and limbs, was trapped inside the crane and had to be extracted.

Magen David Adom paramedic Oded Shinkman said that he and his team were on their way back to the MDA station "when all of a sudden we saw a crane collapsing right in front of us."

They rushed to the scene, where they extracted the operator from the crane with the help of other construction workers on the site.

 

Another construction worker, 31, was lightly injured and suffered from bruising and scratches.
