Woman behind Ichilov security guard assault slaps taxi driver
Elia Kadosh, indicted for assaulting cops following Ichilov Hospital altercation last month, caught on camera slapping taxi driver who brought her to Wolfson Medical Center; Kadosh is 'under influence of medication, in complex emotional state,' says attorney.
Two weeks after the violent assault of two security guards at the Ichilov Hospital at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center last month, the attack's instigator Elia Kadosh was caught on camera Wednesday slapping a taxi driver at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon.
19 year old Kadosh is seen in the footage attempting to slap the driver, who brought her to the hospital, following a verbal altercation between the two.
"A Jaffa resident was taken to the Wolfson Medical Center by cab a short time ago. An argument between the suspect and the driver is suspected to have broken out, concluding with the former assaulting the driver. Police is investigating the incident," a police statement regarding the alleged assault said.
On Thursday, police arrested Kadosh for her assault on the driver.
The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court ordered that Kadosh be sectioned until Monday for psychiatric observation questioning.
Nes Ben-Natan, Kadosh's attorney, said she "denied any violent behavior."
"This is someone under the influence of medication and in a complex emotional state. The cab driver callously verbally assaulted her, humiliating her in front of a gathered crowd of people. Her response, shoving his shoulder, does not necessitate any police intervention as it constitutes trifling matters."
The previous Ichilov incident, also caught on security cameras, showed five people confronting guards at the entrance to the medical center after being refused entry. The five men arrived on the scene after Kadosh claimed she'd received improper care. Kadosh then threatened and assaulted officers, an indictment against her said.
The five perpetrators were charged at the Tel Aviv District Court earlier this week. Four of the defendants—Roslan Missiyev, Mor Bitton, Hanan Alfasi and Avraham Yosefov—were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, joint aggravated assault and joint assault causing serious trauma. Kadosh, as mentioned above, was indicted for threatening and assaulting police officers.
While Kadosh and two of her associates were arrested immediately following the incident, the remaining defendants were picked up only three days later at a Bat Yam safehouse. Four of the defendants were remanded until further notice.
The indictment charges Kadosh cursed and attacked medical personnel in the emergency room, claiming she was receiving improper care. One of the security guards removed her from the station to prevent her attacking the medical staff.
As the guard was holding her, Kadosh turned to Missiyev and goaded him, "Why aren't you hitting him back? If my husband were here he'd take them apart."
She also threatened the medical staff, saying, "Just you wait until my husband gets here."
Less than two hours later the four defendants and Kadosh's partner Dudu Amuyal arrived to the hospital. Upon locating the security guard, Amuyal threatened him, saying, "I'm your devil, just you wait. Not in front of the cameras, I'll get you outside."
Immediately afterwards Amuyal and the four other defendants entered the ER, while the security guard and two other guards followed them inside.
The five then attacked the security guard, hitting him in the head and back. After he was knocked down to the ground, they kicked him in the face and in other parts of his body.
Amuyal fled the country and has yet to be taken into custody.
