Israel is to host an international emergency agencies exercise on Tuesday and Wednesday. Representatives from the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, Spain and France are to take place in the exercise.
The exercise will be simulating a forest fire and humanitarian aid situation, in an effort to improve their professional capabilities and intelligence sharing.
In addition, the drill is to emphasize wildlife protection in times of emergency.
The exercise is led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and will also include members of the Israel Police, the Firefighting and Rescue Commission, Magen David Adom (Israel's emergency medical service), the IDF Home Front Command, the National Emergency Services, the Foreign Ministry, the Transportation Ministry and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).
Jordan will simultaneously be carrying out another, smaller-scale exercise.
