The 'New 7 Wonders of Nature' competition is reaching its decisive stages. The Dead Sea is among 28 sites that have been chosen, from which only 7 will be announced as the new 7 nature wonders of the world. It is considered one of the leading candidates.

The Israeli government calls on the public in Israel and overseas to vote for the Dead Sea. Ynet and "Yediot Aharonoth" are joining the effort so that the Dead Sea will be called 'Wonder of the World', significantly boosting Israeli tourism and its economy. Voting ends 11.11.11
