1. I would much rather that they use computer
(06.05.05)
and simulator technology then cause much pain and suffering to the animals. I find animal testing to be extremely cruel and unnecessary and it's about time that in 2005 we stop it.
2. ANIMAL PAIN?
SAMUEL BLAIR ,   BOCA RATON USA   (06.06.05)
FIRST WHAT HAS BEEN MADE THAT HAS HELPED HUMANITY? OF COURSE, IF NOTHING HAS EVER BEEN FOUND BY VIVISECTION THAT HELPED RELIEVE THE PAIN OF HUMANS, THEN IT CERTAINLY SHOULD BE PREVENTED. BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT BECAUSE SOME ARE UNCOMFORTABLE. WITHOUT SCIENCE MORE PEOPLE WOULD DIE EVERY DAY. SHALOM
3. Animal experimentation
Juliana ,   USA   (06.07.05)
Very ridiculous and suspicious is to me that we are still "suffering" the results of useless and cruel vivisection. Millions of animals tortured and killed , humans still suffering cancer, alzheimer, AIDS and other fatal diseases in greater number, thanks to this "way" of research. It is very clear that non-humans (and humans) are paying the consequences for this. But the number of people knowing what is really going on in research labs is increasing , so the chances for greedy and sadists to continue are decreasing. Shame on those "scientists". A life is a life, and if they do not respect those poor creatures caged in labs without ever seeing the sunlight, without any care after experiments, drilling holes in their skulls "to study stress in females during menstruation" (Columbia Univ), poisoning their bodies when tests are already available without the need of animals and more reliable results, is just a proof of how insensible to life a human can be, and I can't trust nor believe in their "work". Why keep promoting a pattern of life that is only taking us to our own destruction?
4. Pharmaceutical Companies Make Blood Money
Animal Lover ,   Israel   (07.13.05)
Animal experiments are still being conducted in large pharmaceutical companies in Israel. The only reason these companies are trying to cut down on animal experimentation and the methods, is because the law is being enforced, and they are scared of heavy fines. However, they still go on experimenting, despite the fact that most of the experiments are absolutely useless. The only thing the pharmaceutical companies care about is how much money they make. Life, animal life, means nothing to them. I know because I work for such a company, a major global pharmaceutical company. The people in the company are apathetic towards this issue. Only a handful have ever expressed any kind of concern or interest in trying to limit or stop vivisection. They claim that the experimentation on animals is necessary to save human lives. They want to believe this so that they can justify their lack of concern. As long as they make money they don't care at all.
