1. Kudu biltong is wicked stuff!!
Ian ,   Sydney Australia   (05.03.05)
I have a few mates in South Africa - half the Jhb Jewish community now lives here in Sydney anyway On a recent visit there I tasted some Kudu 'Biltong' - dried spiced Kudu meat strips Very 'lekker' mate!! Goes down well with a 6 pack of Stella 100% kosher too!
2. They will be "hunted"
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA USA   (05.03.05)
They will be hunted and will the bullets be razor sharp and kill within a few seconds as required? Just another attempt to raid Africa for what little they have and torture wild animals that belong in the wild, not in the belly of of some testosterone crazed boy who thinks he is a man. A domestic chicken is plenty good, you don't have to kill wild animals that will suffer death by explosive lead. Shame on this miserable proposal.
3. Seven Teeth?
Yair Hoffman ,   far rockaway, New Yo   (05.03.05)
I believe that the author is slightly misinformed. The seven teeth issue is only a means of determining that the animal is at least eight days old - See Radbaz Vol. II #726.
4. Antelope kosher
Ellen Miriam Pedersen ,   Valby, Denmark   (01.14.10)
It was great to find your article. I've forwarded it to the present Danish Chief Rabbi Lexner. What happened next? Have all five subspecies of antelope on the Chief Rabbi's table passed muster? Best, Ellen Miriam Pedersen, Valby, Denmark
