1. Lets face it, the Palestinians whole history is a lie
David Landman ,   Natick, USA   (05.16.05)
Thats why they spread so many lies. They deny the Holocaust. They deny that Jews are native to the country even though we have lived there continuously for thousands of years. The whole Nakba thing is the fact that the Palestinians didn't want a second Palestinian state, next to Israel, but instead of it. They desecrate Jewish holy sites. They put themselves in camps and perptuate it because they refuse to accept history and reality. If the Palestinians had dealt with historical facts instead of fiction, they would have been thriving. Its time to end the plan for a second Palestine. The Palestinians obviously dont want one since they said no every time they were offered one. Its time to finish the fence and everything west of it is Israel and everything east of it is the Jordanian/Palestine federation with no Jews having to leave if they live east of the fence. This is the best and most just plan. Very few people will have to move. It works. Look at India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Look at the former Yugaslavia. Why try to create a country that shouldnt exist? The Europeans have screwed up the globe enough, stop listening to them and do the right thing. Two countries living side by side: Israel and the Jordanian/Palestinian Federation. It will work. Let the Palestinians tell there lies from the eastern side of the fence. Like the great wall of China, it will keep our enemies out. Maybe in 100 years the Palestinians will want peace, but not until they learn history instead of lies.
2. Another part of the cult of violence
Bunnie ,   Santa Monica, CA USA   (05.16.05)
This is just another proof of the terrorist cult of violence and another demonstration of why the arabs will never live in peace with the Jews. The "palestinians" would rather die than have peace with Israel. This is another proof that the "disengagement" is a fraud not a plan.
3. Misplacing the blame
Beb Parker ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.16.05)
Fire the TV head?!?!? How about punishing who is really at fault here- Abbas himself!! He is a terrorist, and there is no justification for allowing him to go unpunished.
4. reply to David Landman
George Toth ,   Chicago , IL , USA   (05.16.05)
I read your comments about Jews living in Jerusalem for thousands of year (i believe this is a lie) can you tell us when that period starts and ends , Jews lived in Jerusalem for maybe 270 years and lived in Egypt for about 450 years. If you live in a place for 270 years you can not claim it as your land!!! Israel (illegitimate country) occupied Jerusalem by killing , murder ,and stealing others land ,building settlements in occupied land , and this will never last for ever , and the owners of the land will return back again. What ever happened in the World War II to the Jews , i think Jews should learn a lesson from that, and they should look up to peace and have a peaceful Prime Minister .
5. What is anti-Semitism
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (05.16.05)
Who invented this term ? why only Anit-Semitism and not Anti-Islamism or Anti-Chirstianism or Anti-Budissam ??? I wonder why Jews love touse this term so much ? are they so special yet to clame that they are still beloved by god ... more then the rest of humanity ??? i beleive that JEWS will be more humans we they start treating equally the rest of the world !!! don't you agree !!!
6. Two states in Palestine why not?
Abu Khalil ,   Palestine   (05.16.05)
Yes Why not, it is a possibility. But Jordan is a river in Historic Palestine. and Israel is a two clans in it. this is the solution take your part and leave us live and we will find a commun understanding. Time cure foes between brothers. think about it?
7. Is this Called Democracy!! Listen all Of YOU
abu arab jarab ,   israel, jerusalem   (05.16.05)
Is this TV a democratic one!! if you consider it as being So! can it say that Islam is the cancer of the world!! 10% of the population in sweden and in most european countries is Islamic, more than 10 million in america more than 8 million in russia and bla bla by marying four, and preventing a moslem from following another religion and if he do so he must be killed and ....etc... by the way i live in Israel and i am a non jew and i learnt many things it is true that jews are descreminating people but they are the most clever people i have ever met, they were able to build a country of their own in only 57 years to be a developed and half democratic but economically and politically more stable than any other arab islamic country, they have the best universities and institutions, and excellent banking systems and..... many other things that the arab islams lack!! Confess ARABS... i love to be honest. Given that all arab gulf countries are rich in petrolium resources but they fail to build industrial and manifacturing power by using cheap fuel to break the economies of the world they invest their money in night clubs and bars in europe while the jews were able to invest in Tv corporations and media and to build a strong lobby all over america and europe!!! in the meanwhile what moslems were able to do NOTHING.. children were dying in palestine needing help in hospitals and schools and the Moslemes shoyookh all what they think is how to mary the forth women!!!! isnt that true guys ... one more time i say it loud "what jews were able to acheive, no one in the world was able to acheive... i am a non jew living in jerusalem i try to learn a lesson of patience and strength and how to win the facts and events to my side and how to turn black into super whit!!!

9. so what!
Observer   (05.16.05)
Considering that Sharon and his fanatic ultra-ortho settlers described, on TV, the Palestinians as lice and rats, questioning the holocaust seems nothing in comparison...after-all, people are allowed to question the existance of god in democratic countries...is Israel a democracy?
10. To Mr Jarab Learn
Saeb Shaath ,   Palestine   (05.16.05)
: good that you see things from deferent prospective “:Israel half democracy , Jews are clever people etc.. etc.., “to make thing easier 4 you to understand, Israel have been built by the superpowers at the end of the 2nd WW to serve the Imperial goal of controlling the world transportation roots and Oil supply, and the one who proposed using the Jews in that location ‘Palestine’ was Napoleon Bonaparte , to control and defeat the British Empire, the British the as No one Power started with project , then when the American inherited the British role as Global power they cancelled the British modification to the ‘Palestine’ project The British White Paper, which nearly cancelled the agreements between the Zionist organization and the British under the pressure of the Arab Revolt in Palestine. But the rising of the Americans and their new global leading world and the new Global cold war against USSR, made the American Build The project Israel with more enthusiasm than the British, ]did you hear What Netanyahu Israel Finance minister said 2 days ago he Said “Israel well be economically independent soon” or to that end, which tells us direct from the mouth of the state of Israel they live by American Support in every level from food, swage, water, electricity, unemployment security, welfare, do not mention the Military or the Inelegance services or the police. America doing that why ? and they do not do it to their own population why? Think what in return they well get from a militarized state in that hot spot in the world. Think why South Korea is so rich and advanced and North Korea so poor (one Nation One People Before the USA War against Korea ) why, The south become so rich and the north so poor, why Israel become so Industrialized and need nothing to ask with having it next day, why the American even fight it wars, why why why .. the Arab countries have to be backwards (even if they have all the money on earth) why the new economical crusade have to grantee they are barely alive and existing and every now and then country by country have to be destroyed by war or sanction or millions of ways.. look at their past and at them now. you should understand the imperial design before now and tomorrow?

14. easy answer to 4 and 5.
objective   (05.16.05)
to 4: 1. anti-Semitic term was born because jews were a minority in Christian eruope for 2000 years, and they been persecuted with specific elements that are related to them. (just like black people are persecuted for their skin color [racism], gay suffer from homophobia etc.) 2. yes, religious jews believe that they are the "chosen people" by God, just like the Christians who believe that the Jews 'were' the chosen because they didn't accept Jesus as Christ, and now they are not anymore, and God is with the Christians now, and the same about muslims who believe that only muslims are "chosen" by God [Allah] and the rest are "unholy" / "unbelievers" . so every religion claims that it is the right one, and that God is with it's people.. not unique to jews. to #5: 1. if you claim that Jerusalem is not jewish and never was, so why do you call it "Jerusalem"? it's HEBREW, "jeru" (to see) - "salem" (complete). if you think it's not jewish you need to stop refering it in Hebrew, call it "Al Quds", that's the arabic name. but as you know, most of the places in israel have hebrew names for thousands of years, and even arabs call themselves "Palestinians" which is ALSO hebrew "plishtim" (bible name for greek people who came from the see, means "invaders"). same about "temple mount", what temple? jewish temple.. , "Beth-lehem", etc. can you see my point? so you can't just change history and archeology.

(05.16.05)
Really? I never seen one of those broadcasts, I don't think I've even seen a Rabbi do a sermon on TV. And could you name a synagogue where that is preached? The only people who preached what you and others such as #9 have been saying are Kach's group, and they've been outlawed and considered a terror group.
16. INOCENT QUESTION?
AHMAD ,   PALESTINE   (05.16.05)
DO JEWS REALLY BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE THE CHOSEN PEOPLE BY GOD AND THEY ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS?
17. You must be dreaming

secular Jew ,   Parsippany, NJ   (05.16.05)
Show me one republic or democracy created from within in all of Islam. Ever. If it wasn't for oil, I couldn't picture any Islamic nation in the middle east as being anything more than it was prior to World War II .
19. Israel not a democracy
MIKE ,   USA   (05.16.05)
Israel is a theocracy- that priveleges those of jewish backgrond. This cannot be argued- If one is JEWISH,one can become a citizen anf get welfare.health caer etc. all courtesy of US tax dollars. But if you re PAlestinian you cant even return to your own home, orchards, And there are plenty of Arab democracies- Kuwait, Dubai, Egypt.
20. Answer for Ahmad
Shai ,   Israel   (05.16.05)
Ahmad, good question. This mistaken belief that Jews think they are superior to others has caused us no end of grief and I'd like to take this opportunity to explain why this belief has no foundation in Judaism. The brief answer is that "chosen"-ness derives from religious Jews' belief that Jews have been given extra responsibilities at G-d's request, and any priviledge we have gained by doing so is gained solely because we've accepted these obligations. We have no concept of a free pass. The reverse is true - we believe that when we don't fulfill our obligations, we are uniquely susceptible to harassment and expulsion from our Land, whereas other nations can ignore their obligations for generations while they enjoy prosperity and peace. Just like a big brother has more responsibilities than his younger siblings, his younger siblings are no less loved for the fact that they are younger. The older sibling is loved all the more for obeying his parent even though his burden relative to his younger siblings is heavier. Yet because the expectations are greater, the punishment for failing is also more severe. The obligations of Jews number 613, and some are unique to men, or to women, or to Kings, or to Priests, or to certain specific times, etc. Probably most Jewish people have an obligation for about 200 or so. Other children of G-d have 7 obligations (the "Noahide Laws"), and if they undertake these 7, and we undertake our 613, in the eyes of G-d we are doing what we are supposed to do and together we'll bring about the spiritual repair of the damage caused by the first man when his actions brought about a spiritual decline from which mankind has not yet recovered.. If you do your seven, and I do none of mine, I'd see myself as being inferior from the perspective of whether I've achieved my destiny. Since you are a Palestinian, you should especially note that some of these obligations Jews took upon themselves can ONLY be undertaken within the boundaries of the Land of Israel (various agricultural obligations, amongst others), which is why Eretz Yisrael holds a central place in Judaism as a ritually Holy Land. There are some opinions that the only reason Jews perform these obligations (not just the agricultural ones) outside Israel is to "practice" for when they will live in Israel. Moreover, the Temple Mount was a place of sacrificial offering for ALL nations, not just our own. We took sacrifices from all nations because we believe that's what G-d asked us to do. We did not insist that everybody be Jewish to benefit from our Temple. It's logical to see from this that G-d loves all Nations and wants all of them to contribute to the world's spiritual repair, and the Jews are required to set an example of how to do this. Do we? I'd rather have your criticism that we aren't doing our spiritual job and that's why Palestinians are harrassing us, than have your criticism that we have stolen your land and THAT's why your harassing us. I think your criticism would then be truthful.
21. If Israel were a theocracy then...
Shai ,   Israel   (05.17.05)
1) Why aren't "Jews" defined according to halacha for the purpose of the Law of Return? 2) Why do Jews who don't believe in G-d have the same rights as those who do? 3) Why is more than 20% of Israel's citizenry not Jewish (even more, if you use the halachic definition of "Jewish"), many of them actually being "Palestinian"? 4) As opposed to almost all Arab documents of state foundation, why is it that Israel's declaration of Independence only mentions "G-d" once, and at that, only after a long and difficult debate was that single mention permitted? 5) Why is the halacha not the "law of the land"? 6) Why doesn't Israel have it's original theocratic form of government of King / Prophets / Sanhedrin? Sounds to me like it CAN be argued, Mr. Mike the bigot. And it's nice you can count to three, but three out of 22 is not "plenty", and anyway Kuwait and Dubai are monarchies ("democracy" means "people governance" not "person governance"), and Egypt hasn't had an election in decades.

I don't know what religion, if any, you believe in, but it does say that Jews are the chosen people in the bible. This text is the source for Christianity/ Islam; therefore, you are mistaken.

26. To SHAI
AHMAD ,   PALESTINE   (05.17.05)
Ok, what is your proof that God Chose you to do this job? Anybody can say god chose to do this and that ?Do you have a proof?
27. Proof for Ahmed
Shai ,   Israel   (05.17.05)
For example, I know today is Tuesday because we keep passing through the cycle of Sunday through Saturday for generations, and we are in the point in that cycle called "Tuesday". Maybe somebody lost track and made a mistake somewhere along the line, you might ask? Maybe, but we take it as a matter of logical deduction that this is not likely, or that any variation in that cycle was recorded somewhere along the line and we accounted for it in our conclusion, and therefore we have faith that it's true, today is "Tuesday". Similarly, we take it as a matter of reasonable deduction that what is passed from generation to generation regarding G-d's promise to Abraham was true, a promise that was filled under the leadership of Joshua. With our methods of scholarship, nothing changes without a trace. I'm as certain as I can be that the accounting of this Promise was accurately recorded and conveyed through the generations. It was the first accounting rather than a modified accounting (Islam has a modified accounting of the life of Abraham and his sons that dates from a couple thousand years after the original accounting had existed in writing). The Torah writes that there were hundreds of thousands of witnesses at the giving of the Torah, a document that includes the obligations Jews were to take upon themselves. Let's say there weren't, or in fact that there was no more than one, or that somebody made the whole story up generations after it was alleged to have occured. I don't know any Jews who can agree even when two have seen the same event on what they saw, but to have hundreds of thousands agree and have them pass that story down at the Passover Seder year after year without somebody early on saying, "no it didn't happen that way, in fact it didn't happen at all, or I don't even no anybody who was there, and I'm not going to say it did"? The whole enterprise would have fallen on day 1. But instead, your proof is that you have a Jewish People that has existed since then. Just look at this "talkback", Ahmed, how many Arabs do you have supporting Israel's perspective (are there any?), whereas you have Jews taking every possible perspective there is! We're a very stubborn and contentious people. The Torah itself says so. So a proof is that any event that would result in such agreement amongst Jews is a powerful testament to its occurence, because for every two Jews you have three opinions (at least). Here you had hundreds of thousands agreeing on what they saw, and from the moment they saw it they agreed to commerate it and retell the story every year at Passover with an accounting that's written in the Hagaddah. But don't expect a photo album, Ahmed. Obviously we believe these things as a matter of comparative degrees of certainty, which is usually much more than most religions require of their followers.
28. Jewish version of "god"
Mike ,   USA   (05.17.05)
The jewish VERSION of god, is all that the old testament is,its a VERSION, written by JEWS of what THEy think god is. Personally, I am not a fan of their ideas and find it to be filled with wars, incest, greed etc. and ,.. I must admit, I am not the biggest fan of the muslim version either- no offence intended people.
