1. we are all Americans
(05.26.05)
if you move here. and thats what makes this country very special, the tolerance of all nationalities and beliefs. Which brings us to the questions of WHY is the USA welfaring Israel a state SEPERATING religions and race. Propogating apartheid. I just dont get it. Like your article says, the arabs and jews live side by side in Chicago.
2. Very nice column
(05.26.05)
It won't bring peace, but it will put a smile on some faces.
3. Nice one mate very funny stuff :)

4. Nice, too bad Arabs cant see that Jews are native Israelis
David Landman ,   Natick, USA   (05.27.05)
Its a nice story, too bad the Arabs dont realize Jews are native Israelis and Palestinians already have a Palestinian homeland, i.e. Jordan, and in the ARab racist culture, dont allow Jews citizenship. The Arab world is modeled after South Africa, but worse. Minority governments controling majority people or majority people persecuting minority people. Do not create a second Palestinian state. There is no reason, not justification, and it would only be another terrorist nation.
5. Hurray! A sense of humor will bring peace
Daniel ,   Amsterdam   (05.27.05)
The worst people are those who take themselves too seriously. Arabs don't know how to make fun of themselves. There is no Arab Michael Moore and that's shame. It's time to replace El Qaida with funny fundamentalists. We need radical extremist Muslim standup comedians who make everybody explode with laughter. I think laughing together is the best way to become friends. I'm looking at the website....please tell me Whoopi Goldberg isn't Jewish.
6. Jews arent native Palestinians
(05.27.05)
Te Jews ARE immigrating to Israel, with white skin and light hair, many of them. They are European, khazars mostly. They are not semites. Some are, sure, the HEBREWS. But thats about it.
7. cult of nativity
Inna ,   Sacramento, USA   (05.28.05)
Jews have lived in israel and the Territories continuously since Biblical Times and many Palestinians (not all but many) are descended from the Arabs who fled the Ottomans. Having said that, why does it matter? Does it matter where anyone's ancestors once lived or is the important thing where they (and their children) live today? I guess I better be honest here. I don't like LePen (France for native French); I don't like the KKK (America for 'native' Whites); I don't like the BNP (Britain for native Britons) and I don't like cult of nativity. I don't think the cult of nativity is funny one bit--although perhaps Ray can turn it into a good joke.
8. Ray you are doing a good work in the wrong way!

How come you don't have an article about the 73 war?
9. 1973 War -- response to Shafi
Ray Hanania ,   Chicago, IL USA   (06.12.05)
Actually, I was about to be drafted in early 1973 during the Vietnam War, so when I fished my 2nd year in college, I enlisted in the US Air Force and served through 1975 (until just after the war ended, and they reassigned me to the Il. Air National Guard.) While I was in the US Air Force, I was subjected to a constant stream of racism, not from Jews, bu Americans in the US Military, my commanders and military superiors. It worsened in October 1973 when my "loyalty" was called into question, even though my father (George, US 5th Army, OSS) and his brother (Moses, US Navy) had both served four years in fighting the Nazis during World War II. When I finished my service, the FBI immediately opened an investigation into me conducted over a two year period as a part of their normal violations of Arab American rights -- what a waste of US tax dollars ... it was like the FBI and the Military didn't talk to each other or something :) ... Clearly, the 1973 War was a very bad experience for me as an American born Palestinian, let alone the continued trauma of conflict between Arabs and Israelis ... maybe I'll write more another time. Thanks.
